Snippet Manager de Bakari Mustafa
A text expander built for IT support work. Type /vpn anywhere to expand a snippet, fill placeholders through a form instead of hand-editing, and get the right templates suggested for whichever tool you're working in. Local-only, with no account.

Snippet Manager is a text expander for people who answer the same questions all day — service desk, IT support, and anyone living in a ticket queue.
Type /vpn in any text box on any site and your VPN reset instructions appear. That much you can get anywhere. Here's what you can't:
INTERACTIVE SNIPPET FORMS
Most expanders paste {{customer}} and leave you to fix it. This one asks.
Write a snippet with {{customer}}, {{ticket}} and {{hostname}}, and inserting it opens a small form with those three fields — with a live preview of the finished text. Fill it in, press Enter, done. Nothing to go back and edit.
Repeated placeholders are asked once. Defaults can compute themselves, so {{due|default={{date+7}}}} pre-fills next week.
CONTEXT-AWARE SUGGESTIONS
The extension recognises the kind of tool you're in and puts the right snippets first.
Scope a snippet to one specific tool, or to a whole category such as "any email client", and it leads the list there. It also learns: the snippets you reach for on a given site start rising on that site by themselves.
Twenty common workplace tools are recognised out of the box, across ticketing and ITSM, email, chat, documentation, code hosting and CRM — plus any internal tool you add by hostname.
Scoping only affects what gets suggested. Search always covers everything.
TRIGGER CONFLICT DETECTION
If you have /v and /vpn, typing /vpn can fire /v first — and your longer snippet quietly becomes unreachable. Most expanders let this happen silently.
The Health tab finds it, explains it, and suggests a replacement trigger. It also catches duplicate triggers, broken {{ }} syntax, duplicate content, empty folders and snippets you've never used.
EVERYTHING ELSE
• Six ways to insert: triggers (/ ; .), command palette, toolbar popup, right-click, side panel, address bar
• Fast search across names, triggers, tags, folders and content, with fuzzy matching — under 4ms across a 3,000-snippet library
• Nested folders, tags, pinning, favourites, drag-and-drop ordering
• Rich text: bold, lists, tables, links, code blocks — flattened automatically for plain fields
• Clipboard history — last 100 items, searchable, pinnable
• Right-click any selected text to save it as a snippet
• Usage insights: most used, time saved, daily activity, usage by site
• Light and dark themes
• JSON export and import
WORKS WHERE YOU WORK
Inserts into plain text boxes, textareas and rich editors alike, including the JavaScript-heavy editors used by most modern ticketing, email and chat tools. Insertion routes through the browser's own editing pipeline, so undo (Ctrl+Z) keeps working and modern editors register the change properly.
PRIVACY
No account. No sync. No servers. No analytics. No network requests of any kind.
Everything lives in your browser's local extension storage. Clipboard history is captured from your selection rather than by requesting clipboard-read permission, anything matching a known API-key format is skipped, and password fields are never read. Per-site opt-out is built in.
Free, and open about what it does.
