Ridealong de FlowStations

Ridealong lets a local AI agent work alongside you in your real Firefox — the same profile, cookies, and session you already use — instead of a separate automated browser. No CDP, no headless clone, no remote server: the agent connects to a bridge running on your own machine (localhost only).

WHAT IT CAN DO
• Read — list tabs, read visible page text, and query elements by CSS selector
• Browse — navigate a tab to a URL
• Assist — click and fill form fields (each action prompted for your approval)
• Developer — run a snippet of JavaScript in a tab (always shows you the exact code first)

YOU STAY IN CONTROL
• Per-tab permission ladder (Off → Read → Browse → Assist → Developer). Every tab starts at Off. Only you can raise a tab's level, from the toolbar popup — never the agent, never a web page.
• Effectful actions (click, fill, run JS) prompt for approval in a trusted extension window that web pages cannot reach or fake.
• A "Stop AI" button instantly revokes every tab and cancels anything pending.
• Every decision — allowed or denied — is written to a tamper-evident, hash-chained audit log.

PRIVACY
Everything stays on your device. Ridealong talks only to a bridge on 127.0.0.1, authenticated with a local shared token. It sends no data to the developer or any third party. Page content is relayed only to the local agent you run, and only for tabs you have explicitly granted access to. Best-effort redaction strips obvious secrets (card numbers, API keys, tokens) from page text before it leaves the page.

REQUIREMENTS
A local Ridealong bridge (MCP server) running on your machine. Firefox 115 or later.
