Thank you for using Opius ("we," "our," "us"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Opius application and website (Opius.tech).

1. About Opius
   Opius is a productivity and focus application available on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and through the web browser at Opius.tech. It helps users stay focused by blocking websites, software, and mobile apps until certain habits or tasks are completed, or based on predefined time and date conditions.
2. Information We Collect
   We only collect the minimum information necessary to provide and improve the service. Opius does not collect or store data about your browsing activity, applications, or programs you attempt to open.

a. Account Information
When you sign up, you authenticate via Google Sign-In.

We store your Google account ID, email address, and display name.
This information is used solely for authentication and syncing your data across devices.
b. App Data
We store:

Your habits (names, frequency, completion status).
Your tasks (titles, due dates, progress).
Your calendar or agenda entries created within Opius.
Your preferences (such as time blocking rules, theme settings, etc.).
All data is stored securely in our PostgreSQL database and is linked to your Opius account.

c. Automatically Collected Data
We may collect limited technical data to improve performance and security, including:

Device type and operating system (e.g., Android, macOS).
App version and usage statistics (aggregated and anonymized).
No personal content, browsing history, or app usage outside of Opius is ever tracked or stored.

1. How We Use Your Information
   We use your data to:

Provide and maintain your Opius account.
Sync your tasks, habits, and settings across devices.
Improve the functionality, reliability, and performance of Opius.
Communicate updates, new features, or important account information.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

1. Data Storage and Security
   Your data is securely stored in a PostgreSQL database managed by Opius.
   We use industry-standard encryption and access controls to protect your information.
   Only authorized personnel have access to production data.
   If you delete your account, all associated data (habits, tasks, preferences) will be permanently deleted from our systems.
2. Third-Party Services
   We use the following third-party service:

Google Authentication (OAuth) for secure sign-in.
Your interaction with Google's login system is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

1. Data Retention
   We retain your data only as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove all personal data within 30 days.
2. Your Rights
   Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access a copy of your personal data.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Request deletion of your data.
Withdraw your consent at any time.

   Opius is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

   We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or within the app. The updated version will always be available at Opius.tech/privacy.
