Big timesaver Rated 4 out of 5 stars
A big timesaver. I often need to check long lists of sites for business directories. For years, I've been copying and pasting the URLs one at a time and pressing Enter. This saves several steps. The slideshow and next-button features are great. Because it's a toolbar, I can toggle it on and off at any time without having to re-enable the addon. I know it's designed specifically to import URLs only and ignore extraneous text that might appear in the input source, but it would be even more helpful if I could import URLs with more advanced search commands like "site:somesite.com 'contact us'" or "related: somesite.com"
Great addon, but... Rated 4 out of 5 stars
It should remember the added links even after firefox shuts down or restarts. It could then be usable as a read-it-later tool, and would be the best such tool around. Right now I have to remember to save the links to a text file before I close the laptop/laptop battery runs out/Firefox crashes....
Make no mistake, overall this is a great addon...
Awesome - Has proven to be extremely helpful Rated 4 out of 5 stars
I use it on my Mac, and it's been a tremendous help for some rather monotonous projects I've had to conquer.
Would be great if it had functionality to assign a keyboard shortcut to the "Back" and "Next" buttons - I'm typically using this for a lot of redundant actions and the less I have to use the mouse the better.
One other thing, it sometimes has trouble recognizing some .txt files. Not sure what the recommended format is? Usually I've been able to toy around with it to get it to read, but sometimes it screws up and shows duplicates - specifically if the URLs contain this special character "#".
All in all very helpful if you're able to troubleshoot through some hiccups. If this had keyboard shortcut functionality it would be one of the best add-ons I've ever used. Even without it, it still works well as advertised.

neat idea, i wish it had more options like autohide and configurable keystrokes
ps: could you please remove the icon from the toolbar? or maybe create one that is simpler/less distractive.
Glad Flem is back! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I love this add-on and use it all the time. So glad that is available in Firefox 7.
Small Bug-Fix Request Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Terrific program. Use it all the time.
Please, however, fix the following:
Say a list of URLs is loaded into Flem. User wishes to Remove certain ones from the list.....
In the Flem toolbar when the Remove button is pressed, the current URL is removed. The next URL is then shown in the Flem URL window. HOWEVER, that next URL is not shown by the browser. When the Flem URL window shows the next URL (following Remove) please have the browser show that next one as well.
As an example:
Five URLs in list. We want to Remove #2. When #2 is shown, we hit the Remove button, and #2 is removed. Automatically #3 is shown in the Flem URL window. However, #3 is NOT shown in the browser. We don't know what #3 is, in fact.
We press the Next button in the Flem toolbar, and #4 comes up and is loaded into the browser.
Well, what about #3? We wanted to look at that as well. It got skipped over in the browser.

I am a HUGE marketing professional and this little addon is a God sent. It allows me to load up 1000's of credit based links (from safelist emails) and grab credits for surfing sites even when I am away from my computer (amazing!).
I have 2 tiny issues with the program.
First after using the addon for extended time (say 5+ hours of running slideshow) it seems to add separators to the toolbar in front of the flem icon. I've sometimes restarted my browser and found as many as 20 separators in front of the icon (not a big deal just customize the toolbar and remove them every so often).
The second issue I have has me a little more concerned. Its about the red exclamation point at the end of the toolbar. If I put my mouse over this image I see a tiny little white box appear with nothing inside it (like a tooltip with no tip).
This concerns me because it looks 100% identical to a little white box that appeared with a password sniffer that was once installed on my browser. I have done extensive searches about this red exclamation point to ensure its not harmful and as of yet I find no bad reports. I'd love to know the purpose of that little graphic though.

although this toolbar seems useful and well done, i will refrain because of being squeamish about slugs! also the word 'flem' sounds identical to 'phlegm' which refers to mucus, which further reminds me of why i don't like slugs! sorry, you still get 4 stars, but i won't install it.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.2).

Excellent stuff... you should add a drag and drop to add new link and a rigth click "Add to Flem" or a keyboard shortcut...

Great idea, although I think the extension should at least store the loaded url list temporary in prefs.js or its own database, instead of currently cleaning up the list without warning when Firefox exits. Also, the "Remove" button seems to have no effect when there is only one item in the list. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.2).

This seems like a useful tool for anyone looking to browse through a lot of web sites quickly. I was quite surprised to find that there aren't many tools of this nature "out there" (and was pleasantly surprised to discover flem). flem is straightforward to install and use. The flexibility to add to the URL list "on the fly" as well as to import a list of URLs from a file is a nice plus. Export functionality for a list of URLs generated (presumably while browsing) is also a nice touch. The only gotcha I encountered was poor handling of the "file" URI scheme but the maintainer of the package was quick to respond, noting that it should be a "quick fix".This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4).

Cette extension fonctionne parfaitement. Elle est extrêmement utile pour l'examen et la qualification rapide de nombreux sites webs. Flem absorbe sans problème des listes de plusieurs centaines d'URL. Bravo et merci! This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4).
simple et efficace Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Ce petit plugin marche bien.
Très simple d'utilisation, et surtout très pratique quand on doit vérifier plein de sites à la main, pour X raison ;)
