No simple copy of html anymore! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

In the newest version where firebug is implemented in the insüpector tools, it's horrible, you can't simple mark html and copy it, firefox as developer tool is dead

So glad you listened to us! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I noticed that my old firebug is back after a Firefox automatic update. Thanks for giving us back the version that works. I would love to hear the whole story of how the decision was made to roll it out and how you decided to revert back to the previous version. I'm sure it would be an interesting read.

Bummer! Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I relied on Firebug so much while debugging websites. But now, I can not right click to drill down to specific code. And I cannot float my window to the left of my browser window. And I cannot simply select/highlight code to copy it. Hopefully these bugs will get addressed or perhaps it is time to move on....

This is a terrible update Rated 1 out of 5 stars

the plugin can not find my javascript , what the fuck ?

Disappointed Rated 1 out of 5 stars

If there comes something new and I have problems with it I first consider that the problems are caused by myself. I tried the new debugger and recognized happy that some views are deeper now than before. But then I had to start the browser again and again and I feared to become mad while working with my projects. Think there is a lot work to do ... good luck to the developers!

Dumb update. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

What the hell are You done with this latest version????!!!!

Developers should be burned in hellfire. Totally useless tool with no functionality and performance!!!!!!!

FCUK!

Maybe you *can* keep using Firebug? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Like everyone, hate the unexpected downgrade.

The Firebug website has this curious note:

"When opened in a multi-process Firefox, Firebug’s tools cannot be used. Firebug will then only assist the user with migration to Firefox’s built-in tools."

Does this imply that Firebug will run as normal in a Firefox that is not multi-process?

On my home PC, Firebug is disabled. On my work PC, Firebug still works even though Firefox states I have the latest version of Firefox.

Maybe you *can* keep using Firebug? (But if so, then how to guarantee your Firefox is not multi-process?)

(Still giving one star. Criminal to completely rebuild the tool, losing an enormous amount of functionality, unannounced, without recourse).

Advice before it's too late Rated 1 out of 5 stars

firefox just lost its best debugging tool. The best debugging tool on the web. It was perfect and you guys had to ruin it.

Our JS intensive web app runs so much faster on Chrome, but I kept using Firefox because Firebug was a better tool.
Woops... Firebug is gone and so has my need for Firefox. This is bad, so very very bad

tell you that I'm leaving you for Chrome. I used Firefox and Firebug for all my web development. But you done screwed up, A-A-Ron!

Why did you ruin it? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Was the best debugger until it was integrated into FF. WHY?

Destroyed the Best Web Developer Tool for any Browser Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Horrible downgrade from what was hands-down the best developer tool for any browser.

Simple things done in the older Firebug take 2 to 3 times as many clicks.

Simple example: You want to check when a JS call does an XHR request. In the old version (before FF50) you would do your action, then choose the console tab and it shows what is posted and what is returned. Clicking on the results would display more info. It remembered the tab/section you were on, so repeated debugging was easy.

The new version: You select the Console tab (so far, the same). Do the request (same). Now the returned version has a little triangle (much harder to click than the previous full link). The results always default to post (which, for debugging is the LEAST useful tab since you want what is returned, not what you sent), then you click response.

What used to take 1 click in the older version now takes 3 clicks. This is a big step backwards for development. This is just one of many examples.

I appreciate the hard work put in to make Firebug, and cannot complain since it's free, etc. But the downgrade from the previous version is quite severe. It has made working with the tool more frustrating and time consuming, since it takes longer to do your workflow with it.
