Don't F*** With Paste prevents websites from cancelling copy, cut, and paste events on sites you choose.


This add-on is an independently maintained continuation of Jacob Swanner's original Chrome extension and Aaron R's Firefox port.

The older Firefox add-on remained at version 2.7 from 2020, while the Chrome project continued through version 3.1 in 2024. As Firefox and websites evolved, the older Firefox add-on no longer bypassed paste blocking reliably on some sites.

This version incorporates the newer Chrome changes and adds Firefox-specific reliability fixes:

• interception before page handlers can cancel clipboard events
• reliable activation during startup and navigation
• independent state for each tab and window
• iframe coverage
• automated Firefox browser regression tests

This is a separate Mozilla Add-ons listing because this project cannot update the older Firefox listing. Existing users of that listing will not be migrated automatically. Credit for the original extension and Firefox port remains with their respective authors.

The extension reads tab URLs only to match user-configured site patterns. It does not collect or transmit browsing data.
