    please update. since last update (12.03.2025) of firefox it stopped working for Instagram and it now opens extracted images in new tab, which is wrong behavior logic for such pages.
    UPDATE: reverting to previous version fixed all current problems.

    I have now released a version 2.2 which restores the functionality of version 2.0 due to unforseen CORS issues displaying images in a new tab.

    Version 2.3 has added a configurable confirmation dialog so you can now avoid accidentally running Image Extract and losing work.

    Hello! I wanted to write my own extension to find 'overlayed' image when I click on it, so that I could save it (as services often don't let you do that, for example Instagram). Luckily I didn't have to do that as I found your extension and it seems to work really well. Thank you for writing it :)

    Yes, correct, context menu like right clicking the page.
    There are webs that the image disappears when the cursor is removed,
    if there is the botton in the contextual menu you can get the image with its add-on.

    Thanks, I think with keys it will work too.

    In launch settings, it does not save any extract checkboxes.
    Extract on ALT + SHIFT + I works but does not save the checkbox.

    I've added shortcut keys to launch the extracting. Hopefully this works for you?
    The settings menu should be fixed in 1.3.1 now.
