This used to be a wonderful extension and I think it still can be, but for me the toolbar will not show up on nearly any videos while I'm signed in.

I know it must be difficult developing this to adapt to changes on Youtube, but at this point it is only a CSS skin extension, and nothing more.

I hope it is fixed eventually, but it's been some time now with no fix in sight.


Update; 23 February 2025:
clips are now broken, forcing them to play the original video instead of the clip. the CSS skins also seem to work only occasionally now, and the controls and other functionality still rarely show up on videos, and when they do work, it will never be on more than one tab at a time.

I also found that while the features rarely work, the bug where clips don't work is always there.

I have tried this with all of my other extensions turned off and in private browsing. it far more often than not does not work. the only thing that seems to improve its functionality is not being signed into my google account, but even this is hit or miss.

I really hope this addon gets the love it deserves, but for now I am reducing my review to 1 star and uninstalling because it brings bugs but effectively no features.

very often this thing doesn't start. you need to enable/disable the addon and reload the page several times

Doesnt work in new tabs....youtube will "grey out" for a bit.....then load video and this addon will not work. Looks like the developer abandoned this.....Oh well I will use 3 seperate addons to get this functionality back.

The addon will appear here for a short time, until the developer's next tantrum. I advise you to look for alternatives, there are addons much better than enhancer. For example, Tweaks for YouTube.

Addon is broken again. You have to double stretch to get cinema mode to work.

As they succumbed to Google's ressure to stop blocking ads, makes this kinda pointless. go elsewhere for that.

the automatic video stretching function to full screen stopped working, also the top panel with search became separate, when opening each video you have to go to the extension settings again and click the checkbox, and then scroll so that the video is fully visible and the top panel is not visible

Causes music audio on some YouTube videos to become mute.

Was working really well for a long time, but recently it has been extremely buggy and causes YouTube to lag. Videos tend to stutter, the expand video player option doesn't work, the play speed is useless (because of stutter), and in general a lot of the features are currently broken or cause more issues than its worth. I love the extension, but I'm going to disable or uninstall for a while and wait for it to be fixed.

You can use AI to make simple scripts to gain most of the functionality this brings.

The extension is out of date. It causes youtube to be extremely laggy now. Even pausing can take several seconds.

Disabling autoplay no longer works, which was the only reason I installed this extension. Uninstalling now. Pity.

Add-on is no longer working in Firefox and the developer complains that he will no longer fix it because of Firefox policy.

Plugin doesn't work. No bar under the video, no boost option... chrome work, but not in firefox

I used to use this plugin to play my videos at specific speed without it changing back to 1x. But now after some dumb update it stopped doing it. Atleast add an option to override or remove it without removing speeds that are higher than 2x. My disappointment is immesuarable and my day is ruined.
