als ze werkt is het een mooi ding, maar er zijn meer problemen met deze addon dan dat ze werkt. en ik kan begrijpen dat men sommige video's beveiligt en dat de manier van handelen eerst moet achterhaald worden, maar als ik betaal voor een licentie zou ik graag hebben dat ze werkt naar behoren en niet "SOMS" een jaar later en ettelijke updates... lijkt het alsof steeds minder kan downloaden of dat ze steeds minder videofiles vindt... en nu moet je nog toestemming geven. voor wat? donno... converteren van lokale files? wel een knop maar niks in de plaats

I agree with all the recent opinions. This was a wonderful download app until I accidentally updated. Now it is hit or miss whether the desired video shows up in the download choices. I also prefer to have the firefox processor download the video and not the DownloadHelper Companion App as it errors out 30-40% of the time. But this most recent Helper update ignores my selection of Browser processor instead of Companion App processor. This version has too many bugs in it. Will be seeking another download app if these aren't fixed.

As others have noted, the most recent updates have rendered a formerly great extension quite unreliable. I'm giving it three stars with the expectation that things are likely to get better, but as of now it's really worth only two, as it works about a third of the time. [Edit: Down to two stars. The frequent failures render it essentially worthless now.]

Used to be really good, easily 4 or 5 star. Is still very good when it works, but recent updates have made it very inconsistent and I'd say about 70% of my downloads fail now or download up to a few MB. The other 30% that succeeds downloads much faster, but it's pretty annoying having to close my browser completely to refresh a page and try a new download (Before the update, a failed download only needed me to refresh the page and then I could try again)

This used to be an immaculate video downloader. BUt the recent update has ruined it. HLS media often doesn't start downloading even if you refresh the page and start downloading multiple times. And now in most web pages, the video is downloaded without names and instead with random video titles. If the devs are just gonna ruin this extension with subsequent updates, just stop updating it smh

the new version(8.2.1.1) put a giant QR code on the downloaded video, wish the dev wouldve clarify it in the description

Hi. The "Copy address" simply don't works. It doesn't add anything, not even with thirdy-part software (like CopyQ). I swap back to version 8.1.4.0 and all copy address works, as usual. Regards.

I can't ear audio when I copy and past a url from YT to any video player (VLC, SMPlayer, PotPlayer etc.). With old addon version all works fine.
With Firefox I fix the problem simply by reinstall old version but in Chrome is impossible to find it. Please provide dowload of old version for Chrome users. PLEASE!

Since new updated yesterday, 8.2.0.23 version still fails detecting .srt or .vtt extensions

After the update, it became impossible to save the path for downloading files in the settings; it gives errors. If you download to the default folder, everything downloads. Return it to how it was

I use this to download files from MultiTracks.com but new version no longer detects *.m4a files on that site. I had to revert back to Version 8.1.4.0 to make it work.

Due to the new update the extension just doesn't work most of the time. When I click on download video the download will just not start or it will stop halfway and not finish, causing the download to be corrupted. This is a awesome app but unreliable at the moment, I just hope the developers fix this issue soon.

Pay per year to Use . unless alright with watermark. Lower the price!

I struggled with the interface of the add-on, that is unclear and extremely user unfriendly, but up for now it did it's job. Now it not only has an ugly mark - it fails to download video. It downloads audio instead and puts its mark on it.

Seems to work fine but it adds a watermark to all your downloaded videos unless you pay, so the videos are unusable.

Anscheinend bleiben die Kinderkrankheiten der Software nach wie vor immer noch bestehen.

Insbesondere dass die fertigen Videos lange laden und schwer zu bearbeiten sind z.b. in einem Video-Editor zeigt einfach nur dass noch so einiges an der Stabilität gemacht werden muss.

Insgesamt könnte alles stabiler und besser laufen, aber scheinbar werden die Grundprobleme nie richtig angegangen.

The addon itself is the best video downloader probably, but after this new update, you pretty much try to force me to pay money with a gigantic QR-code watermark. I understand you want to earn money with your work, you deserve it, but man, this is too much, too big. Sorry but I delete the addon.

dowonload mp4 file by this version is no sound.

Great if you want just a few videos, not more.


- Not that user friendly regarding picking video quality and a better optinal download bar would be nice

- If you download many small things Windows Notifications will be spammed

- External app (which defeats the purpose of an extension) I see security issues with that

- Its not clear enough from the start that you will need a license to not have water marks (I understand that a good product has a price)
