This is a GREAT plugin. It would be nice though if there were compatible plugins for other browsers like Chrome. That way files saved from one tool are compatible in another. I've switched away from the memory hog of Firefox a while ago, but LOVE your plugin...
This is very good tool but, I will suggest an enhancement which will make even better currently the o/p is read only can it be editable or if we can allow copy of the result then it will be very useful.
missing features: 1. save requests so they can be re-used (and edited) later 2. stop button 3. adding request headers is cumbersome. why not just write it in a text area? writing: 'Content-Type: text/xml' (without the quotes) means only an addition of ':' in place of mouse click and 2 tabs. Editing, copying, deleting is then a lot easier 4. request history - would be nice to see each response 5. maybe have request prototypes. e.g., if i'm querying a service i may have several resources i'm querying. then i'd like to be able to change one parameter (e.g., server name - qa/dev) and have all queries update automatically
Awesome tool for RESTful services development! And ya, it does support cookies.. My app depends on cookies to be sent along with REST requests.. I login to the app in one tab, open RESTClient and send requests..
It runs as a separate application. It doesn't send the existing browser cookies for that host/domain with the request. In my case my webdav server is protected by an external authentication website. It needs the Cookies to verify that the authentication is done already and SSO is enabled. After I login to the Authentication server using browser when I invoke this extension, it doesn't send the cookie to webdav server and webdav server send the redirection URL to this extension which it doesn't understand properly.
