Now children use computer and internet without controlling and obstruction.
People worries about many terrible website like gambling websites. KidZui K2 can solve those problems. This program is freeware web browser like IE (internet explorer) and continuing to support .It screen data and websites that your children visit and It is colorful pages that can control your children without forcing. It can connect to suitable website like YouTube,Gamewebsites. But this program has a few terrible. It can use only Firefox but children can use IE(internet explorer) or google chrome that is way to children can visit unsuitable website. When you quit Firefox and restart your computer this program will disable. You must try to register there. Other terrible is this program can over block the website that make the problem to your children when they must find data for his report, presentation or school project. Your children may spend too much time to find data and couldn’t finish their works.
I only let me five and eight year olds use this. It's not perfect but it gives warnings for the kids scam sites (somehow my kids find these things like candy). I would like to see the existing features extended a bit.
Very shaky. At first it will install under Firefox v. 4.0.1, but when you quit Firefox and restart, K2 is disabled for being incompatible with v 4.0.1. Going to the Kidzui page and trying to register there, it tells you that your Flash is out of date (which in my case it absolutely is not), and that you can only update your Flash through Internet Explorer (NOT Firefox). Very, VERY frustrating and more than a bit suspicious. Boo, K2, BOO!
UPDATE: For some reason, it no longer says that it is compatible with Firefox 4, hopefully the developers will fix this problem. In the meantime, I have installed an independent KidZui browser on the desktop that does not require Firefox to be opened. Because the add-on abruptly stopped working, I have reduced the stars to 3.
The best thing is that while questionable sites are blocked, my son can still "explore" the internet a little on his own as he gets older. I found the completely walled in approach of applications such as Kido'z to be too restrictive. Until he wants to explore, for school or fun, there are a number of featured activities to keep him occupied for hours. Nice app! Thank you so much for making it free and continuing to support the free version. It is definitely a public service that we parents appreciate. Too many so-called "free" sites just want to fleece worried parents and take advantage of us. For instance, Kido'z took away support for their free product all together, choosing greed over public good. Thanks Kidzui, for keeping our kids' safety a priority!
Love this addon because of my son, good training on various skills and coordination.
My kids absolutely LOVE KidZui! My son came home from his friend's house one afternoon and asked me to put KidZui on our computer. Now I can't pull him or my daughter away from the computer! I love how the browser makes it easy for my kids to find things on the web - it's a great educational tool. There are a lot of games, and while I wish the content was a little more educationally focused, "all work and no play..." as they say. Best of all, the program blocks out all of the bad stuff on the internet. I searched for a number of things that I don't want my kids to see, and KidZui blocked them all.
If you're looking for a great tool to get your kids started on the internet with, check out KidZui!
My grand-kids asked to use this while they visited us for Thanksgiving. They said they wanted to use, and they spelled it as "Kid-Zoo'E". We of course didn't know what they were talking about! When the described it a bit more (they are 5 year old twins), we started searching around Google and found it when surging for "kids internet". We saw KidZui right at the top of the page. We noticed that they had two listings on FireFox, and we were confused since one listing had a lot more downloads and we are always nervous about infecting our computers. But, we read and saw that their "K2" was the same company so we downloaded it. It was very quick and easy to install, seconds later the kids were excited. The first image they aw was for Disney's Tanged new movie (which we told them we would see that weekend) so they were excited to see video. They started clicking around, and I was astonished that they could find so much content, so easily. They somehow have YouTube videos in KidZui but kids can't click to other adult videos and when they used the websites, we were happy that they couldn't leave KidZui to go astray. The kids love dinosaurs and it was really neat to see them going from videos, to websites, to pictures, and then clicking on other categories that KidZui places next to dinosaurs like fossils and Egypt. When the kids searched for Miley Cyrus, we were shocked that it came up after only a few letters. They loved exploring and then I walked out for a bit and came back and they were at a website for John Coltrane! I asked them how they knew about Coltrane, and they were so funny. They said KidZui told them about it. The kids had told us that their friends pay for KidZui but we were never asked to pay and it all was free to us. After they left, I got an email from KidZui was a parent activity report which cleverly showed me the time they spent on the computer and the things that kids explored in KidZui. What a great way to keep tabs on what the grandkids are interested in, I wonder if KidZui knows this. Anyway, what a great product. The kids loved it, their parents love it, and it added to our Thanksgiving joy. My wife actually clicked on KidZui the other day -- perhaps missing the kids. Maybe the should have a grown up Zui?
Look at this!!! What a great ad-on...the girls love the little "K" up top because it takes them to their favorite place... Kidzui!
This has been really helpful to me and my kids. I don't have to constantly check what they're doing all the time or switch the site for them. They are learning to do it on their own. Thumbs up to the creator of this and thanks for taking a bit of stress out the the internet for parents.
I don't usually like to review things but decided to make an exception with this particular Firefox add-on. My three year old and I have been having just a blast with it. What is really cool about it is that I don't have to go and do searches in Google for websites like Starfall or PBS Kids anymore since Kidzui has all those games in it and thousands of other websites appropriate for my daughter I didn't even know existed. Pretty cool browser.
I started using the original Kidzui for my grandchildren a while back and they loved it. So when I heard about this I had to try it. They love it even more now because it moves faster and they said it was easier to use that they didn't have to ask anyone for help anymore! Keep up the good work Kidzui!!
I love this and my kids love it even more. I had tried the old version and really liked it, but this is even easier to use and my kids can jump right on and get playing. There is a lot of great content and my kids (5 and 8) have a blast using it. It keeps the kids busy for hours!
My kids love the other kidzui but we heard they had a new version and just had to try the new one. The kids miss their characters, but say it's a lot faster so I'm sure they won't miss them for too long.
So I recently tried the K2 version of Kidzui as my kids have been long time users of the original Kidzui version. The main things we noticed was a tremendous speed improvement over the first version as well as an easier to use interface for my kids. Gone is some of the personalization that my kids liked but the improvements they made more than made up for any missing pieces. All my kids want to do is play on Kidzui so that hasn't changed. Looks like it may be time to get them their own computer! Santa can you make that happen?
