I wanted to THANK the Developer for your kind response. I greatly appreciate & did a'lil research about the UTube changes you spoke of...THANK YOU for the heads up!

I've used the FREE version of AdBlock Plus many years...recently (2024) I've had to disable it for YouTube to work on my W10 PC...but I believe if I just disable one of the Block Scripts it should work (This DID Work! - just made a small adjustment in allowed/blocked & It WORKS!). I have other AdBlockers that still help not see ads but AdBlock Plus is WONDERFUL for my overall internet experience!

Glad to know you have been enjoying ABP! :) YouTube has been intermittently testing strategies to show either ads or their anti-adblocking wall. However, in some cases we've found that your settings might have changed which is why ads are suddenly appearing. Please try the steps in this article: https://help.adblockplus.org/hc/en-us/articles/26653087560595-Ads-appearing-on-YouTube.     Randomly opens new tabs advertising ABP premium. IT LITERALLY DOES THE THING IT'S SUPPOSED TO PREVENT. Fuck this garbage extension made by idiots.

    This used to be great but nope I'm done, the random spammy popup tabs pestering me for money are getting out of hand. It happens multiple times per week (same browser, same device), it disrupts my work flow, and is more annoying and intrusive than the ads that it's blocking. Moving to ublock because I'm just not going to support a company that spams their users.

    We are updating the extension, therefore a popup might appear (it will only happen once per browser/device), but you can simply close it and continue browsing.     It no longer blocks YouTube ads very well, some try to get through. Specially begin of video.
