Yandex Video Autor: KakTak.Net

Yandex video search for Mozilla Firefox: the Yandex Video extension adds video search to your browser. Find videos from many sites straight from the address bar, with the @video keyword, or in one click from the toolbar, on desktop and Android.

More Yandex search extensions for Mozilla Firefox

• Yandex Search Engine - Yandex search across the whole web, the @ya keyword.
• Yandex Shopping - Yandex search for shopping: products and prices, the @tovary keyword.
• Yandex Images - Yandex image search, the @images keyword.
• Yandex Maps - Yandex search for places and routes, the @maps keyword.
• Yandex Realty - Yandex real estate search: homes for sale and for rent, the @realty keyword.
• Yandex Finance - Yandex finance search: deposits, loans, exchange rates, the @finance keyword.

Why you might want it

• Straight to video. Your query opens the Video section: clips from different platforms in one list.
• Not tied to one site. You search the whole web, not the inside of a single video host.
• No extra steps. You do not have to open Yandex and switch to the Video tab.

What the extension does on desktop

• Adds Yandex Video to the Firefox list of search engines.
• The @video keyword for a one-off search from the address bar: @video how to replace a tap.
• A toolbar button: click it on any page, type a query, get the result in a new tab.
• Yandex suggestions in the address bar as you type.

On installation Firefox asks whether to make Yandex Video your default search engine. If you search more than videos, decline: the @video keyword and the toolbar button work either way. You can change the choice at any time in Firefox settings, section Search.

Yandex video search in Firefox: how to add it and how to remove it

• How to add Yandex Video to Mozilla Firefox. Install the extension - it adds Yandex Video (Яндекс Видео) to your list of search engines. There is nothing to set up in Firefox by hand.
• How to search for videos from the address bar. Type @video, a space and your query, for example @video how to replace a tap. Or click the extension button on the toolbar.
• How to remove Yandex Video from Firefox. Remove the extension - the search engine disappears from the list, and nothing else in Firefox changes.

On Android

• Quick search from the extension button in the menu.
• Step-by-step instructions for adding Yandex Video to your search engines by hand.

Firefox for Android does not let extensions add search engines. On a phone you add it by hand, once - the extension shows you how and gives you the string to copy.

Privacy

• The extension requests no permissions and does not collect your data. Your query and suggestions go only to Yandex, exactly as when you search on its site.
• A welcome page opens after installation and after an update. There is no other background activity.

Partner links

• The welcome page and the settings contain a labelled block, "Support the extension author", with partner links to Yandex services, including an offer with a bonus of up to 1100 ₽.
• Following them is optional and does not affect search. If you use one, the author receives a reward from Yandex at no cost to you.

Also

• Need regular Yandex search? There is a separate extension for that: Yandex Search Engine.
• Interface in Russian and English.
• This is an independent extension, not developed by Yandex.
