Web App Tabs for Firefox Autor: Raj Piskala

Firefox web apps are great, but there was one thing driving me crazy: if I wanted 3-4 ChatGPT chats open, I needed 3-4 separate windows cluttering my taskbar. Why can't a web app just have tabs?

So I made this! Press Alt+Shift+G (or click the extension) and Firefox reveals its built-in tab bar and opens another tab in the same web app window. That's literally it!

It works with any HTTP or HTTPS web app, not just ChatGPT. You can customize the shortcut or use the toolbar and page context menu. And in a regular Firefox window? It becomes a quick reopen-page/duplicate page shortcut, which is honestly pretty useful on its own!

No analytics, telemetry, data collection, content scripts, or network requests. You'll need Firefox 143 or newer on Windows, since that's where Firefox's native web app feature is currently available. Enjoy! 😄
