How to use: Visit "about:preferences" > "Contrast Control" and change it to "Custom". This unlocks the "Manage Colors" button where you can set your preferred colors. The N-button will then allow you to quickly toggle the setting between "Off" and "Custom".

Note that background images (not regular images) will also disappear, which might break some website designs.
