When you explicitly invoke the Trace extension on a page and select an element, the extension transmits to us: a structural digest of that element (its markup structure, text content, link and image URLs, accessibility labels, and computed styling), the page's URL and title, and a screenshot cropped to the selected element.

Capture only ever happens on a deliberate user action. The extension does not read pages in the background, does not read values you have typed into form fields, and does not access cookies or site storage.

Because you choose what to capture, captured content may include personal data visible on the page at that moment. This content is processed to reconstruct the interface using your design system's components, which involves transmitting it to our AI sub-processor. It is stored against your Statecraft account as part of the resulting capture record.
