Runway Quick Add Autor: Runway

Runway Quick Add puts your Runway workspace in a side panel next to whatever you are already reading.

WHAT IT DOES

Open an email, click the Runway icon, and the panel opens with the form already filled in. The subject becomes the title. The sender and the message body become the description. Highlight a passage first and that passage is used instead, so you capture the one paragraph that matters rather than the whole thread.

Choose the crew, the owner and what kind of item it is, then add it. You never leave your inbox, and the item is in Runway before you have finished reading the email.

It creates all five item types:

• Land the Plane, for issues, with a 1 to 5 priority
• Flight Path, for rocks
• To-Dos
• Flight Announcements, for headlines
• Control Tower, for metrics

It also works outside Gmail. On any other page the panel opens with the page title and whatever text you have selected, so a line in a spec, a support ticket or a news article becomes an item just as quickly.

WHY INSTALL IT

Most of the things that become issues, rocks and to-dos arrive by email first. A customer complaint. A commitment someone made in passing. A number that moved in the wrong direction.

The gap between reading one of those and recording it is where they get lost. Switching tabs, finding the right crew, and filling in a form is enough friction that the honest response is usually "I will add it later," and later is the night before the meeting, reconstructing the week from memory.

This closes that gap to a few seconds. The result is an issues list that reflects what actually happened rather than what you could still remember on Monday, and an L10 that starts from a full list instead of a scramble.

HOW IT FITS YOUR ACCOUNT

The panel is your real Runway workspace, not a copy of it. It reads the crews you belong to and the people on them, and items land exactly where they would if you had added them in the app, visible to your crew immediately.

Sign in to Runway once in a normal browser tab and the panel picks up that session. There is no second login and no access token to paste.

PRIVACY

Nothing is sent to any third party. Page content goes only into your own Runway account, over the session you are already signed in with. The extension reads a page only when you open the panel on it.

Runway Quick Add requires a RunwayOS.io account.
