Data: 2 miesiące temuThank you for your review. Some public networks (e.g. in schools, hotels, airports, workplaces, etc.) tend to apply restrictions in order to prevent harmful activities and keep track of the traffic flowing. That said, the browser extension uses HTTPS. This is the only connection protocol supported by modern browsers. With that in mind, if you cannot connect using the extension, we suggest using the native Proton VPN app with the Stealth protocol, which was designed for this specific purpose.

- Ocena: 2/5Autor: Dr Dave, 3 dni temuThe free extension is frustrating, time consuming, does not choose the same country server as the PC installation & changes your PC local time to that of the server. Tech support wants pics & all the hairy details to solve simple, common problems. With every biz wanting fee for service, the public is getting nickled & dimed to death to give a CEO gas for their Bentley!

Data: 2 dni temuThat doesn't sound right. The extension affects your browser only, and not your entire system. That said, would you mind sharing your ticket number with us here? We'd be happy to check on your report and see how we can assist you further. - Ocena: 5/5Autor: Użytkownik Firefoksa 18808486, 3 dni temu

- Ocena: 5/5Autor: Carson, 7 dni temuWorks like a charm. It sometimes makes websites run a little weird but I think that's just a function of the VPN being more private than the website would like. Ex: Microsoft Copilot

Data: 8 dni temuSorry to hear that. Could you share more details about the issue? Are you receiving any error messages? Do you have the auto-connect feature enabled? Do you have any other extensions installed for privacy/security purposes? Contact us by clicking on Help in the Proton VPN extension, then selecting 'Contact us' so we can help you troubleshoot. - Ocena: 1/5Autor: BLBC, 8 dni temuWorks perfectly for a few minutes, then it simply freezes, both the extension and the entire connection. You can only fix this by disabling the extension. But when you enable it again, this happens again. And the only way to restore it is to completely reinstall it, only for this to happen again a few minutes later.

This wouldn't be a problem if not for the fact that you can't invert split-tunnelling — I literally only want to use the VPN for one or two sites that I have data on that are blocked in the UK but I can't without it causing problems everywhere else — so I have to continuously Connect/Disconnect via the long-winded means I mentioned above every time I want to use those sites.
Other than that, no issues, but I won't be resubscribing as it's really too much faffing about for something that you should be able to set up as a one-click connect.Odpowiedź autora

- Ocena: 5/5Autor: Użytkownik Firefoksa 18835325, 13 dni temuProton's full suite of services has been great for me and I have had no issues whatsoever with Proton VPN. Sure the paid version is way better (that's what I use) but I used the free version for a while first. I can't think of many other free offerings that have a proven track record of caring about your data. If all you care about is getting around certain online Acts - proton free is perfect. For me - the paid version is exceptional.
