Thank you for using Promptrix ("the Extension"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Chrome Extension.

By using Promptrix, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect
   Promptrix is designed to function as your AI memory. To enable this functionality, the Extension collects the following information when you interact with supported AI platforms (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Copilot):

Chat Content: The prompts you submit and the responses generated by AI tools.

Metadata: Information such as the AI platform used, the URL of the chat session, and timestamps of interactions.

Token Estimates: Approximate token counts for prompts and responses.

We do not collect:

Personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number, unless you explicitly include it in your prompts.

Login credentials or authentication tokens for any AI platforms.

Browsing activity outside supported AI chat interfaces.

1. How We Use Your Data
   The data collected is used strictly to provide the core functionality of Promptrix:

Display and Organization: Presenting your prompts and responses in local or web dashboards.

Search and Autocomplete: Enabling intelligent prompt suggestions while you type.

Analytics: Generating local insights and visual summaries of your AI usage.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or training external AI models.

1. Data Storage
   Promptrix gives you full control over how and where your data is stored:

Local Storage (Default): Data is stored locally on your device using Chrome’s chrome.storage.local API.

Cloud Synchronization (Optional): If enabled, your data may be securely transmitted to:

Your configured Cloudflare Worker (for multi-device sync or web dashboard access)

Your GitHub Gist (for backup purposes)

Promptrix does not operate or maintain centralized servers that store your data. All cloud storage is user-configured and under your control.

1. Data Sharing and Disclosure
   We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with third parties.

Your data remains fully under your control, either on your device or within your personally configured cloud services.

   We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including:

Secure local storage within the browser

Encrypted transmission (HTTPS) when syncing to cloud endpoints

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

1. Your Rights and Control
   You have full control over your data:

Delete Data: You can remove individual entries or clear all stored data at any time.

Uninstall: Removing the extension deletes locally stored data.

Cloud Data Management: If using cloud sync, you are responsible for managing and deleting data within your Cloudflare or GitHub accounts.

   We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
