Open in Private Window Autor: Amin

Ever want to jump into Private Browsing without losing your place? Open in Private Window adds one simple option to your tab's right-click menu:
"Open in Private Window." Click it, and your current page opens in a fresh private window — no copying URLs, no digging through menus.

What it does:
- Right-click a tab → Open in Private Window → done.
- Optionally close the original tab once the private window opens.
- Optionally strip common tracking parameters (like utm_source, fbclid, gclid) from the URL before it opens, so you carry less baggage into your private session.

What it doesn't do:
- It doesn't track you, collect any data, or talk to any server. Everything happens locally in your browser.
- It doesn't touch the page content — just the tab and the URL.

One-time setup: Firefox requires every extension to be explicitly allowed to open private windows. The extension walks you through this the first time you install it — it's a 10-second toggle in about:addons.
