Mail from Duck Autor: Reafun

Mail from Duck is a Firefox browser extension that integrates with DuckDuckGo Email Protection page and provides the ability to send messages from the private Duck addresses.

Goals
DuckDuckGo lets you create private Duck addresses and provides instructions for sending outgoing emails from those addresses (see DuckDuckGo Help). However, constructing the outgoing address manually is inconvenient. This extension streamlines the process.

Usage
1. Prerequisite: You must have DuckDuckGo Email Protection set up. If you don't, follow the instructions on DuckDuckGo's site: How do I get DuckDuckGo Email Protection?.
2. Install the extension from the Firefox Add‑ons store.
3. After installation, the extension icon appears in the Firefox toolbar (if not visible, check the extensions menu for hidden items).
4. Click the toolbar button to open the DuckDuckGo Email Protection page.
5. On this page, generate a new private Duck address as usual.
6. The extension adds an optional Recipient address field. If you fill it, an Outgoing mail address field appears below.
7. Send your message to the Outgoing mail address; the recipient will see it as coming from your private Duck address. You can press the 📝 icon to create a new email to this address in your default mail client.

Privacy
Mail from Duck does not collect any user information. All data stays inside your browser.
The extension does not connect to any external services, nor does it initiate any web requests to DuckDuckGo.
When you click "📝", the generated outgoing mail address is passed to your default email client.

Permissions
- The tabs permission is required to open the DuckDuckGo Email Protection page in a new tab when the toolbar button is clicked.
- Access to duckduckgo.com is needed because the extension extends the DuckDuckGo Email Protection page with additional UI elements, and uses the private Duck address from this page to generate an outgoing mail address.
