Zasady ochrony prywatności dodatku Common Notes
Common Notes Autor: Goodheart Labs
The Common Notes browser extension shows notes directly on the pages they were written about. It is built to know as little about your browsing as possible: Matching happens on your device. The extension periodically downloads the list of pages that have notes and checks the pages you visit against that local list. Browsing pages without notes generates no request to our servers.
Pages with notes: to display notes, the page's address is sent to our server (together with your login token if you are signed in). The same happens for the page you are on when you open the extension's toolbar popup.
Contributing from the extension: "Request notes on this page" stores that page's address and title; writing a note stores the text you selected, your note, and the page's address and title.
Moderation: before a note or improvement is posted, its text and the selected passage are checked by an AI model via OpenRouter (Anthropic) to filter out non-earnest submissions. The check returns only accept or reject and stores nothing; no name, email, or page address is included.
Settings: small preferences (which notes to display, sites where you declined the permission prompt) live in your browser's built-in extension sync storage — they travel with your browser account (e.g. Chrome sync), not through our servers.
No analytics: the extension contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code. Uninstalling it removes everything it stored in your browser.
Where it lives: Account data and contributions are stored with Supabase (our database provider). Login emails are delivered via Resend. The site is served through Cloudflare. The moderation check for submitted notes runs through OpenRouter (Anthropic). We do not sell your data or use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Cookies: Only what sign-in requires: a session token in your browser's local storage (for the extension, in its own extension storage). No advertising or cross-site tracking.
Your choices: You can delete your own draft notes in the interface. To delete your account and its data, email us and we'll do it.
