HOW THE EXTENSION WORKS When you visit a YouTube music video, Cogcopper reads the video title from the page to identify the artist and track name. This information is sent directly from your browser to the Discogs API (https://api.discogs.com) to look up marketplace prices. No data passes through our servers — there is no server.

LOCAL STORAGE Cogcopper stores the following data locally on your device using your browser's built-in extension storage:

Your format preferences (Cassette and CD toggles)
Cached price lookups (to reduce repeat API calls)


This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by removing the extension.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES Cogcopper makes API requests to Discogs (https://www.discogs.com). These requests contain only the artist name and track title parsed from the YouTube video title. No personal identifiers, cookies, or tracking data are included. Discogs' own privacy policy applies to their handling of API requests: https://www.discogs.com/privacy

COOKIES AND TRACKING Cogcopper does not use cookies, analytics, telemetry, or any form of tracking.
