Zasady ochrony prywatności dodatku Chess Capture
Chess Capture Autor: Trond
Chess Capture processes captured screenshots and uploaded board images locally in Firefox. The recognition model and its ONNX/WASM runtime are included in the extension. Screenshots are not uploaded for recognition. There is no remote recognition service, analytics, telemetry or extension account.
When you click Analyze on Lichess, the extension opens lichess.org in a new tab with your reviewed chess position (FEN) in the URL. This deliberately sends that position to Lichess for analysis. It does not send the screenshot or the URL of the page you captured. The resulting visit is handled by Lichess and your browser in the normal way, including normal website network information and any existing Lichess login or cookies. Lichess’s own privacy policy applies to that visit.
The extension has no developer-operated server and sends no data to the Chess Capture developer. Screenshot handoff data is removed after retrieval; unclaimed captures expire. An open editor retains its image locally until closed. The extension does not save a capture history.
Firefox’s “website content” data permission covers the deliberate transfer of the selected chess position to Lichess. It does not mean screenshots are uploaded.
