O tym rozszerzeniu
Every page you open has something on it that you did not come for. A cookie wall. A newsletter
modal four paragraphs in. A sticky header eating a third of the screen, and a chat bubble in the
corner that has never once been useful.
BowerBird clears them off and keeps them off.
Point at anything on a page and it stays gone - on that site, on every future visit. Not deleted
for one session like a devtools trick, but a real rule that survives the reload. Choose just that
element, everything like it, or the whole container it sits in.
Ad and tracker blocking comes along with it, because clutter and ads are the same problem seen
from two sides.
IT ASKS FOR NOTHING WHEN YOU INSTALL IT
This is the part worth reading twice.
Every other blocker asks to "read and change all your data on all websites" before it has done
anything for you. BowerBird's install screen asks for nothing at all, because it does not need
anything. Blocking runs on rules the browser applies itself - the extension never sees the page,
and cannot, even if it wanted to.
The first time you hide something on a site, it asks for that one site. Only that one. You can
take it back whenever you like, and blocking carries on regardless.
WHAT YOU GET FREE
Free is a real product, not a trial. If you never pay, nothing turns off.
WHAT PRO ADDS - $12 ONCE
One payment. No subscription, no renewal, no expiry. No paid allowlist - we do not sell the
right to get past the blocker, which is the thing people most dislike about the incumbents.
Where your hardware and browser support Chrome's on-device model, Declutter uses it to label
what it found in plainer words. Where they do not - which is most machines today - Declutter
works exactly the same way using built-in rules, and says which one it used. Nothing is sent
anywhere in either case. The model runs on your own machine or not at all.
WHAT IT IS NOT
It is not the most thorough ad blocker you can install. uBlock Origin Lite blocks more than we
do, it is free, it is open source, and it is written by the person who invented the filtering
approach the rest of the industry copies. If maximum blocking coverage is what you want, install
that. The two run alongside each other perfectly well.
BowerBird is for the layer filter lists are structurally bad at: the visual, per-site, constantly
shifting annoyances that are not fetched from a known address and so cannot be blocked by one.
PRIVACY, ARCHITECTURALLY
These are properties of how it is built, not promises about what we choose to do with data
we could have collected.

WHAT PRO ADDS - $12 ONCE

- Export and import, so your rules survive a new machine
- The repair console, for when a site redesign breaks a rule

PRIVACY, ARCHITECTURALLY
- No account. Nothing to sign up for.
- No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting.
- Page content is never uploaded. It never leaves your machine.
- Your rules live in your browser, on your device.
- Exactly one network request exists in the whole extension, and only if you buy Pro:
checking your license key once, at activation. After that Pro is verified on your own
device and works with no connection at all.
These are properties of how it is built, not promises about what we choose to do with data
