    This update reduces what Keepa declares. It does not add anything.

    • "Website content" - removed. Keepa transmits no page content. The only page-derived value ever sent is the product's ASIN.
    • "Personally identifying information" - removed, replaced with "authentication information". That entry always referred to your Keepa session token: a credential that loads your own settings and tracked products. It is not your name, e-mail or address - Keepa's add-on handles none of those. "Personally identifying information" was the wrong label and we've corrected it.
    • "Browsing activity" - To draw a price chart, the add-on has to tell keepa.com which product page you're on. That ASIN is used to render the chart and is not logged or retained. Nothing is stored about you unless you explicitly choose to track a product.
    • Technical data (browser type and add-on version) remains optional and can be switched off in Firefox's add-on settings.

    Why you may see one more permission prompt

    Firefox prompts whenever a category is added, even when the overall list gets shorter. "Authentication information" is new to the list, so the prompt appears again - this time without the two entries that caused the alarm. We know a second prompt is unwelcome and we're sorry for it; it's the cost of correcting the labels rather than leaving them wrong. We don't anticipate another.
