Substack Exporter saves Substack newsletters to your computer for offline reading and backup.

What it exports

• All posts of a publication, or a single post, as Markdown, HTML or EPUB
• Comment threads of a post as CSV, with reply structure preserved
• Notes and Reads of any user profile
• Your own subscription list

About paid content: posts behind a paywall export in full only for publications your account already subscribes to. The extension uses your existing browser login and cannot bypass paywalls.

Details

• Works on substack.com subdomains and custom domains
• Can download all images in posts, so archives stay readable fully offline. Links in the exported files point to the local copies
• EPUB export packs a whole publication into one file for Kindle or Kobo
• Exports run in the background and resume where they stopped after rate limits, network errors or browser restarts
• Everything is processed locally in your browser. No data is sent to any server

How to use

1. Click the extension icon to open the dashboard. If you are on a Substack page, its URL is filled in for you
2. Or click New Export and paste the URL of any publication, post or profile
3. Pick what to export, watch the progress, and download when done

The free version handles up to 100 records per task with Markdown, HTML and CSV export. Pro removes the limit and adds EPUB, offline image download and multiple concurrent tasks.
