Om denne utvidinga
Silk is a place to collect the things you care about and connect them to each other. This extension lets you save to Silk from anywhere on the web, without interrupting what you're doing.
Save the page you're on. Open the extension, pick a web, and click "Save this page." Silk fetches the page and makes a preview for you, so a slow site won't hold you up, and closing the popup won't cancel the save.
Save any image. Right-click an image and choose "Save image to Silk." It goes to the web you last picked, and a notification tells you when it's there.
Pick where it goes. Your first save goes to your blog. After that the extension remembers the last web you chose.
No extra sign-in. If you're signed in at silk.cx, the extension uses that sign-in. If you're not, you can sign in with your phone number or email and a one-time code, the same as the app. Signing out of the extension doesn't sign you out of silk.cx. Firefox containers and private windows each use their own sign-in.
Permissions, and why.
- Cookies, for silk.cx only: to reuse your Silk sign-in.
- Active tab: to read the address of the page you choose to save.
- Context menus: to add "Save image to Silk" when you right-click.
- Notifications: to confirm an image saved, or tell you why it didn't.
- Storage: to remember your sign-in and the web you last picked.
- Access to all websites (optional): asked the first time you save an image from another site, and used only to download that image. You can decline. Images on the page's own site still save.
What it doesn't do. It doesn't read or record the pages you visit. It sends nothing until you choose to save, and then only to Silk. It has no ads and no tracking.
