Om denne utvidinga
FoxFilter is an easy-to-use content filter that blocks websites and keywords across computers and Android devices. It works out of the box with a default set of blocked keywords, and you can fully customize it for parental control, schools, and organizations using flexible whitelist, blacklist, keyword, and sensitivity controls.
Getting Started
Once installed, FoxFilter is active right away. Right-click any web page and select "FoxFilter Settings" to add your own sites, keywords, and adjust sensitivity.
Designed to Stay in Place
Most browser filters can be turned off in seconds. FoxFilter Protection is an optional add-on that applies the same kind of policies schools and workplaces use to manage browsers — helping keep the filter in place even if someone tries to disable or remove it. Why users choose FoxFilter
Active by default — start filtering the moment it's installed
Fully customizable websites, keywords, and sensitivity
Whitelist and blacklist controls for precise access management
Password-protected settings with recovery option
Optional protection designed to stay in place
Lightweight browser-based solution, no separate software required
How Filtering Works
FoxFilter blocks content based on user-defined websites or keyword criteria. You can block entire sites or define custom keyword filters that apply across the web, and you can allow specific sites or keywords as exceptions. The filter includes a built-in list of common keywords and lets you expand or refine that list to suit home use, classrooms, or shared devices.
Sensitivity
FoxFilter includes sensitivity settings that control how aggressively content is filtered. If "Examine Body Content" is enabled, filtering may become more aggressive and could block sites that contain certain keywords within page content. If this happens, you can adjust sensitivity or add exceptions as needed.
Privacy
Your settings are saved locally on your device. FoxFilter processes web page content locally to perform filtering — no browsing history, page content, or web activity is collected, stored, or transmitted to any server.
If you choose to create an account, your email address and password are used for authentication and settings synchronization purposes only. No personal data is sold or shared with third parties.
