Om denne utvidinga
Focus Lock is a simple focus tool that keeps you on task while you work or study.
🇹🇷 Origin: Türkiye. Developed in Türkiye, with a Turkish-language interface.
How it works
Add the sites you want to stay on, choose a duration (up to 2 hours) and start. While the timer runs, visiting any page that isn't on your list blurs and darkens the screen with a "Stay focused" message. When time is up, the lock lifts automatically.
Features
- Countdown focus timer (1 minute to 2 hours). Remaining minutes are shown on the toolbar icon.
- Add as many addresses as you like. A bare site name allows the whole site, a path allows just that section, and a YouTube video URL allows just that video.
- Save address lists as groups and reload them any time.
- Enter a YouTube playlist URL to see all its video links, remove the ones you don't want, and save them to a group.
- Pause allowance: 3 breaks of 10 or 15 minutes per session. The lock returns when the break ends.
- The timer can only be stopped with the "Stop timer" button at the bottom of the last panel, which is intentionally tucked away.
- Lock only the tab you started in, or all tabs.
- Clean interface with separate panels.
Privacy
The extension collects and transmits no data. Settings and groups are stored only in your browser. The YouTube playlist feature only reads the video info of the playlist you enter, directly from youtube.com.
Why the permissions
- All sites: to detect the current page and show the overlay when needed.
- Tabs: to choose which tab to lock.
- Storage: to save your settings and groups.
- Notifications: to tell you when the timer ends.
Note: Firefox does not allow extensions to run on some special pages (about: pages, Mozilla's add-on site), so those cannot be blocked.
