Context Orb lets you capture an AI conversation from one tool and reuse it in another — without re-explaining your project every time.

HOW IT WORKS

Open ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, or Qwen.

Click the glowing orb → Generate to save the conversation as an “orb”.

Switch to another AI site.

Click the orb → Drop active (or Pick orb).

Context Orb attaches your context as a compact file chip (where supported) and sends a short kickoff message — so you keep chatting with full project context.

PRIVACY FIRST
• All orbs are stored only in your browser (chrome.storage.local).
• No account. No cloud. No tracking.
• Your conversations never go to a Context Orb server — we don’t run one.

NOTES
• On some sites (especially Copilot), uploaded files may be blocked by that provider. Context Orb falls back to text context so the AI can still read your project details.
• AI websites change often; if capture/drop breaks after a site redesign, update the extension when a fix is published.

Single purpose description (permission justification form)

Capture conversation context from supported AI chat websites and inject that context into other supported AI chat websites, using only on-device storage.

Permission justifications

storage
Saves orbs (captured conversation text, titles, project tags, active orb id) on the user’s device only.

scripting
Injects the Context Orb UI and capture/drop logic into supported AI pages, and programmatically attaches context when the user requests it.

tabs
Detects supported AI tabs so the extension can run after install/reload and keep the orb available on those pages.

Host permissions (listed AI sites only)
Required so content scripts can read the visible conversation when the user clicks Generate, show the orb control, and drop context into the chat composer on those sites. We do not request access to all websites.
