Tevreden over deze add-on?

De ontwikkelaar van deze add-on vraagt uw steun voor verdere ontwikkeling door middel van een kleine bijdrage.

Waarom is BiDi Mail UI gemaakt?

I started working on a precursor of this add-on in 2004. It allowed you to switch the dir attribute of the body element of a message, but didn't always work... within a few months I joined forces with Assaf Romano, and together we wrote an extension for both Thunderbird and Seamonkey.

We gradually expanded our feature set - direction autodetection for reading messages, per-paragraph direction in HTML composition etc. Surprisingly, there was never a real distinction between what I was writing "for myself" and what the community found useful :-)

Assaf became more involved with other aspects of the Mozilla project over time, and last year we decided that I'll take over as the single official maintainer.

Wat biedt de toekomst voor BiDi Mail UI

I wish I had the time to devote to doing work on the Mozilla codebase to allow further improvements for this extension's functionality, especially coding hooks for extension to process messages before they are printed.

Wie is Eyal Rozenberg?

Ph.D. in Theoretical Comp Sci from the Technion, in the field of Property Testing. After a stint at Huawei Research (Toga Networks), I'm now working on the implication of GPUs (and perhaps other computing hardware) for DBMS architectures.<br/><br/>I'm always busy with a zillion things, so - please be patient with me, I'll get to your bug as soon as I can spare the time.<br/><br/>I'm not quite starving these days (as opposed to when I was a grad student), and I'm a believer in "donation forwarding", so much of the donation money will be pooled and passed onwards to worthy causes I believe in, be it other Free-and-Open-Software initiatives, refugee relief (or legal defense), support for political prisons, independent media, etc. Do consider donating if you find my extensions useful.
