I cannot find the icon anywhere on my screen so I've not been able to use this extension. I'm very upset. the spell check I had in the last edition of Firefox was perfect for my uses. I'm frustrated and angry there is nothing similar offered in this edition.
many thanks - it helps me to correct my English
going check it out sure need help with spelling lot services we had for years no longer work or not available any more
Super Arbeit. Danke schön. Nutze dieses Wörterbuch in FF 57 und TH 52.4.0. Arbeitet Hervorragend.
Thank you for solving a major problem in outlook you can't do spellcheck in there anymore but with this it solves the problem and highlights the wrongly spelled word immediately
Very Good!!! 5 Stars.
great. I don´t know what kind of problems these f-word using typ of people got here, I just know I have non with this Add-on.
It doesn't do anything... you right click on a word and there is just no option to look it up or anything like in the screenshots here.
very good and perfect browser for me
Just writing this review to compensate all the negative ones. The add-on works as intended, easy to install, easy to use.
Firefox 54.0.1 (64 bits)
Yeah, guess it indeed works, but using it would make Firefox slower. So better google it, guys.
Basic words like "relatable" are obviously in there. So many reviewers here seem to be completely clueless. Try to make sure you're actually using the dictionary you're reviewing before leaving angry 1-star "reviews"! You have to select it, you know.
I shouldn't have to add words like "relatable" to the standard dictionary.
Not doing auto check need to mark every time.
My Firefox has the latest updates but spell check doesn't work. It use to work when I edited my websites. I don't see any drop down box when I right click to show languages. It shows in my website editor when a word is misspelled. It keeps saying to Add Dictionary which is already an add on.
Minden megfelelően működik, nem találtam hibát.
I have followed all directions offered and I believe my "Dictionary" for spell checking has been added-on but I still can't find it! It is not in a first drop down menu; which it SHOULD be, and if I had a say in this I would put it tn the first drop down menu for Tools. A mispelled - I did that on purpose - is underlined red in Firefox with NO easy way to fix it. PLEASE make this feature better and easier to use in Mozilla/Firefox.
Clicked right, the drop down menu doesn't have anything called "Languages" so I can't get to "English".
I even tried to activate it by restarting FireFox, no go.
I have FireFox versiion 48.0.2
don´t work with firefox 46
it works properly.
Very useful. I like that the new version 8.1 uses the "large" SCOWL dataset (look for the Wordlist project on SourceForge for details) including common variants (like "advisor" instead of "adviser") and accented words (like "Bogotá" or "cliché"). It's restartless and therefore easy to use.
How do I get it to auto fix contractions so that "its" auto corrects into "it's"?
Great help whilst writing English American.
English isn't my native writing, however this tool makes hardly anyone notices.
For me: highly recommended!
For those who could not get this to work; it is used when you write a comment or a review, within a web page. Then you right click and you will see the menu options. there is no icon. You use when you are the typist; not what you are reading. It works as directed.
