Tap26 Browser Extension Privacy Policy:
The Tap26 browser extension helps users create, manage, protect, and track Tap26 short links. When you invoke the extension, it may access the active page URL, title, and favicon. The favicon is displayed only inside the extension and is not sent to Tap26. The destination URL, optional title, alias, and any link settings you select are sent to Tap26 only when you choose to create or shorten a link.
The extension reads clipboard text only when you explicitly select Paste. Clipboard content is placed in the destination field and is sent to Tap26 only if you subsequently create the link. Copy actions only write the selected value to the clipboard.
When signed in, the extension stores your Tap26 account ID, email, access token, and refresh token in Firefox extension-local storage. For guest use, it stores a random guest session token and cached guest quota. It also stores extension preferences such as the toolbar badge setting. These values can be removed by signing out, clearing extension data, or uninstalling the extension, as applicable.
Tap26 may process account information, an optional guest email, destination URLs, authentication information, selected link settings, and network/security metadata needed to provide and protect the service.
When link analytics is enabled, Tap26 may process visitor IP addresses, IP-derived approximate location, device and browser information, referring domain, and visit time to provide analytics to the link owner. Tap26 does not use this information for advertising or cross-site tracking. Raw visit records are deleted after 90 days.
Tap26 does not sell user data. Data is shared only with service providers necessary to operate and protect Tap26, including Cloudflare and Tap26 infrastructure hosted by Hetzner.
