door Artifycr, één jaar geledenit worked but sent images to a newly made folder instead of my downloads which is a bit annoying to go out of the way to use the image

Due to limitations on where add-ons can auto-save, I can't offer very much flexibility on this. If you prefer to choose where to save each time, the setting above that lets you select your preferred approach.

You also can review the code by right-clicking the "Add to Firefox" button and using Save Link As. The .xpi file is a ZIP archive, so you can extract it and read the files locally.
The reason such broad permissions are required is that many images are hosted on a different server, and Firefox doesn't provide a convenient way to prompt for permission to operate on embedded cross-site content. Maybe I can make a lower-permission version that only works with stand-alone images?
If you prefer an extension-free approach, you can emulate the way this extension works using Firefox's built-in screenshot feature. That usually downloads in PNG format, but occasionally it may use JPEG format.- Waardering: 1 van 5door Chris, 2 maanden geledenDoes not work. Saves WebP images as a blank, black image

Generally speaking, it creates an HTML canvas the same size as the image and puts the image on the canvas, then extracts a blob object that it can save in your choice of formats. Similar to screenshotting. If you want to try some troubleshooting, you could use either contact method on the main listing page: (1) email, or (2) create an issue on Github. - Waardering: 5 van 5door z1, 3 maanden geleden

Save webP as PNG or JPEG is a must-have Firefox extension for anyone frustrated by websites serving images exclusively in webP format. With a simple right-click, it allows you to save webP images as PNG or JPEG, making them easier to edit, share, or use with software that doesn’t support webP.
Pros:
✅ One-click conversion: Quickly converts webP images to PNG or JPEG with a simple right-click.
✅ Preserves image quality: The converted images maintain their original resolution and clarity.
