Proxy Now is a dead-simple proxy switcher for Firefox: paste a proxy address, name it, and go.

Features
- Paste any proxy address (host:port, or socks5://user:pass@host:port) — the type is detected automatically. No manual protocol/port configuration needed.
- Named profiles — save as many proxy servers as you like, switch between them with one click.
- Global mode: route everything through the active profile, or turn proxying off entirely.
- Per-site rules: override the global mode for individual sites — "this domain only", "this domain and its subdomains", or "everything this browser tab loads, including third-party ads/trackers/CDNs".
- Built-in connectivity test (confirms the proxy actually works, with the resulting IP) and a speed test (direct vs. proxied download speed).
- Live request counter (proxied vs. direct), and a diagnostics log for connection errors.
- Backup and restore your whole configuration as a portable JSON file.
- 9 interface languages (English, Hungarian, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Serbian) — automatically detected from your system's language, or chosen manually.
- No account, no API key, no setup beyond pasting your proxy's address.

Common uses: routing traffic through your own SSH tunnel or VPS, a company/home proxy, or a privacy tool like Tor or Shadowsocks — the in-app Settings page includes copy-paste setup guides for SSH tunneling, PuTTY, Psiphon, Shadowsocks, and Tor.

Privacy
Proxy Now collects nothing. Your profiles, rules, and credentials stay in your browser's local storage. The only network call the extension itself ever makes beyond your configured proxy is an optional, user-triggered connectivity check (api.ipify.org), only when you click "Test my proxy".
