PrivSend performs all encryption and decryption on your device. The plaintext of your message, your files, their names and types, and the encryption key never reach our servers — the key travels only in the fragment of the share link, which browsers never transmit.

Our server stores, for as long as a secret lives: the ciphertext, a random link id and status id, a nonce and salt, whether a passphrase was set, each file's size in bytes, and created, expiry and opened timestamps. No account, email address or identity is required or stored, and no IP address is stored against a secret. There is no analytics and no tracking of any kind, in the extension or on the site.

A secret is destroyed the first time it is successfully read, and an unread secret is destroyed when it expires — at most seven days.
