Folder Bar privacy policy

Folder Bar does not collect, store or send any personal data to the developer or to any third party. There is no account, no analytics and no advertising.

What stays on your computer
- Your profiles, which bookmarks show in which profile, and your settings are stored in this browser profile only (extension storage). They are not synced or uploaded.
- Your bookmarks are read from the browser to draw the bar. Folder Bar only changes a bookmark when you edit its name or address yourself.
- Most visited sites on the new tab page are read from the browser each time and are not stored.

Network requests
- Site icons: to show icons, Folder Bar downloads each bookmarked site's icon (for example example.com/favicon.ico) directly from that site, without cookies or referrer, about once a week. Icons are stored locally. When you visit a bookmarked site, Folder Bar may store the icon that page uses. Turn off "Show site icons" in Settings to stop all icon downloads.
- Search on the new tab page goes to the search engine you set in your browser.

Website access
Folder Bar asks for access to all websites only to draw the bar at the top of pages. It does not read, record or send the content of pages you visit.

Export
"Export settings" saves a file to your computer only when you click it.
