Email The Web 2.20.1-signed
door Email The Web Team
EmailTheWeb allows you to easily email the exact web page you are viewing to anyone you want. EmailTheWeb works with all web pages, even if it's password protected, dynamically generated, or has framesets. The subject of the email is set to the title of the web page (which you can change) and you can also add an optional note. Supports all email accounts and email addresses.
Over deze add-on
Emailing a hyperlink may have sufficed when the Internet was young and innocent and people had plenty of time (and trust) to click, click, click, and click some more.
But no longer.
Today's Internet has been crushed by the double-edged menace of malicious spam and malicious web pages and your email is crying to be heard.
Do you think your recipients have the time to click your links? Do you think your recipients trust you (and your web links) enough to potentially infect their computer?
Instead of holding your breath waiting for your recipients to visit the web links you email to them, send the web to them with EmailTheWeb.com
The ability to email a web page is an Internet Explorer feature that FireFox was lacking until now.
The Email The Web extension allows you to easily email any web page to anyone, including web pages that:
1. are password-protected (now you don't have to give out your password)
2. are session-specific (e.g., Google search, Amazon.com)
3. require registration
To protect your privacy, this service uses Google for authentication. If you don't have a Google account, you can register one in just a minute.
We are proud to announce that we just launched a new release with lots of new features, including some premium features. However, it is important to note that Email The Web has a free plan and you do not have to purchase a plan to use Email The Web at no charge everyday.
If you require technical support, DO NOT post it as a User Comment. For the quickest support, send an email to support-team@EmailTheWeb.com
If you get an error (Invalid File Hash or File Not Found), please install the add-on from our website: http://www.EmailTheWeb.com/firefox.html
Om uw eigen collecties aan te maken dient u een Mozilla-add-ons-account te hebben.
This policy covers how EmailTheWeb treats personal information that EmailTheWeb collects and receives, including information related to your use of EmailTheWeb services. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that EmailTheWeb does not own or control, or to people that EmailTheWeb does not employ or manage.
Information Collection and Use
Similar to other web services, EmailTheWeb records information such as account activity (e.g., storage usage, number of log-ins, actions taken), data displayed or clicked on (e.g., UI elements, links), and other log information (e.g., browser type, IP address, date and time of access, cookie ID, referrer URL).
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Confidentiality and Security
EmailTheWeb is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We limit access to personal information about you to employees and contractors who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, the Internet is not recognized as a secure medium of communication. For this reason, we advise that you should not submit confidential information through EmailTheWeb.com and that doing so is at your own risk.
Personal information collected on this site is stored and processed in the United States and by using this site you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.
Your ID and Password
EmailTheWeb uses Google Accounts for authentication purposes. This protects your privacy because your credentials are checked by Google and your password is never revealed to EmailTheWeb. It is your responsibility to choose a password that is difficult for someone else to guess and not to share the password with anyone.
EmailTheWeb has the option to optionally link to your Google Contacts. In no uncertain terms will EmailTheWeb ever permentally store or copy any of your contacts' information or send them anything other than your specific emails. However, EmailTheWeb may temporarily cache your contacts' information to improve perfomance of the site.
How does EmailTheWeb use the information collected?
We use aggregate user information to enhance the user experience in our network of sites. We use tracking information to determine how well each page performs overall based on aggregate user demographics and traffic patterns to those pages. This helps us continue to build a better service for you. We also use the information to fulfil your requests for certain services, such as managing your third party relationships, sending out information on topics you agree to receive, taking actions on your suggestions and complaints or requests etc.
EmailTheWeb uses persistent cookies to help us determine who you are when you move through the EmailTheWeb system. This saves you time so that you don't have to sign in every time you want to use EmailTheWeb again.
A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. However, if you choose to decline cookies, EmailTheWeb will not be able to function.
Use of Web Beacons
EmailTheWeb web pages may contain electronic images known as web beacons (sometimes called single-pixel gifs) that allow EmailTheWeb to count users who have visited those pages and to deliver co-branded services. EmailTheWeb may include web beacons in email messages in order to count how many messages have been opened and acted upon. Web beacons are not used to access your personal information on the EmailTheWeb sites and services; they are a technique we use to compile aggregated statistics about EmailTheWeb web site usage. Web beacons collect only a limited set of information including a cookie number, time and date of a page view, and a description of the page on which the Web beacon resides.
How does EmailTheWeb protect the privacy of children?
EmailTheWeb should not be used by children under the age of 13 unless they get their parents' or guardians' permission first.
Acquisition or Changes in Ownership of EmailTheWeb
In the event that EmailTheWeb is acquired by a new entity, our email address database would be considered part of those assets, and may be part of those assets that are transferred. Once transferred, EmailTheWeb will destroy its copy of the database and not utilize it any longer.
