Privacy Policy — DNSChi

DNSChi is a DNS and domain lookup tool. To function, it sends the
following data:

1. The domain or IP address you look up
   This is sent to our server (dnschi.com) to return DNS records,
   WHOIS, SSL certificate, or traceroute results. These features
   cannot work without sending the domain you entered.
2. Your public IP address
   To display your IP at the bottom of the popup, the extension
   calls the public service api.ipify.org. This request goes to a
   third-party service.

What this extension does NOT do:
- No analytics or tracking of any kind.
- It does not read or transmit your browsing history or page content.
- It does not share any data for advertising or commercial purposes.
- It does not require an account or any personal information.

Local storage:
Your preferences (light/dark theme and your last two searches) are
stored only in your own browser, on your device, and are never sent
to any server.

The extension communicates with the dnschi.com API. For questions
