Audio Extender door Alexey Kopkin

Too quiet video? Voices lost behind the music? Headphones that sound flat? Audio Extender makes any website sound better — YouTube, Twitch, podcasts, online courses, browser games and more.

🔊 Up to 600% louder
Raise the volume far beyond 100%. A built-in limiter keeps it clean: louder, but never crackling or distorted.

🎚 Studio-grade equalizer
Drag points on a live frequency curve to boost bass, bring out vocals or tame harsh highs. Prefer sliders? Switch to 10 or 31 bands. Ready-made presets (Bass Boost, Vocal, Podcast, Rock and more) — and save your own.

🎧 Headphone correction
Pick your model from the AutoEq database of thousands of headphones and hear them the way they should sound.

✨ Fix the sound with one switch

• Clear dialogue — understand voices in films and streams even when the music is loud
• Night mode — quiet scenes louder, explosions quieter
• Bass boost and stereo width — more punch and a wider stage
• Normalization — every video plays at a similar loudness
• Mono and left/right balance — for one earbud or hearing on one side
• Playback speed — faster lectures and podcasts without chipmunk voices

🎛 Every tab under control
The Mixer shows all tabs playing sound: set each one's volume, mute it, play one solo, or lower other tabs automatically while you watch something.

💾 Remembers every site
Settings are saved per site and stay after a browser restart.

🎨 Make it yours
5 themes (Neon, Cyber, Sunset, Aurora, Light), 6 languages, popup or sidebar, keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+A open, Alt+Shift+↑/↓ volume, Alt+Shift+B on/off.

🔒 Private by design
No data collection, no ads, no analytics. All sound processing happens locally in your browser. The only network request: downloading the public AutoEq database when you search for your headphones.

Good to know
Firefox doesn't allow extensions on its own pages (settings, PDF viewer, addons.mozilla.org). DRM-protected audio (for example Spotify or Netflix) can't be changed by any extension — it keeps playing normally, just without effects.

Now on Firefox for Android!
- Works on phones and tablets: the same booster, equalizer and effects, sized for your finger
- Double-tap resets an equalizer point or slider
- Lighter on the battery on phones
- Requires Firefox 142 or newer
