等更新完好使了再回来改评价 - av cherrjus, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5Recent update caused memory leak BAD...Dont tell me to update Native app..that is up to date. It is this extension via troubleshooting mode. Normal memory load is less than a gig. Enable this one extension and it skyrockets to 5GB immediately then crawls its way up to 8GB before browser is unusable and I need to kill the leaking process.
- av Firefox-bruker 17226500, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5I found out this evening that this extension was causing Firefox to slow to a crawl. Thank goodness troubleshooting mode is there. I had to use that to finish removing this from the browser and made sure to report it for slowing down my computer.. You broke this extension with that terrible update. When it does load which is rarely. It loads every single video which can no longer be cleared. Your nonsense fixes are not worth the time based on the complaints i have read. Roll this useless update back completely since you can't get it to work properly and i will come back.
- av Deniz Kocatepe, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5Whenever I install this plugin my computer slows down drastically. this cannot be normal.
- av Frank, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5AVD used to be Perfect! I could download it, use it, get the video file, and view it. It worked. Now, with every update it's getting worse and worse! Not only does it not work no more, my computer crashes so bad my only option is to hold down the power button and restart my computer. Why?! Why did you guys have to mess with perfection? It was perfect, it didn't need any updates! Now, your latest update needs to be updated again because not only does it not work, it causes my computer to crash!
Developer Response: Well sir what you need to do is...
No! What you need to do is re-upload "AVD-NativeApp-3.3.40-Release" Leave AMD alone and work on a different project. This gonna be like "Adobe Flash" just keep messing with it till you destroy it.Utviklerrespons
postet 6 måneder sidenIn case of problems with overloading please try to reinstall AVD add-on and Native Application and reset the data at the menu Settings - Reset, using WIPE OUT AND RESET button.
This will delete any data in the extension storage, and reload the extension.
If you still encounter the issues with overload after this operations please contact to our support here: https://www.ant.com/support_form - av xa, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5Causes memory leak on Firefox; it filled up my 16gb ram within a minute or two, the only way to fix it was to restart my computer.

2) Remove AVD
3) Google "firefox remove extension data"
4) Remove extension data
5) Reinstall AVD 4.12. Wipe out storage for the final shot.
Get back if it didn't help."
Before reading your reply I've unistalled the extension and deleted most of the files that had antt in their content.
Reinstalled addon (and host app). Worked fine, so wipe/reset from addon options. Unfortunately after a few hours everething went back to the same shit with memory leaks.
Do you want me to remove all of the storage\permanent\chrome\idb contents? Like my other extensions data?
If the problem persists I'll prolly revert to the old version which I liked better (more streamlined, less clutter). Unless the problem lies with the host app.Utviklerrespons
postet 6 måneder sidenThank you for feedback.
Once you run Wipe out and reset, then no need to remove all extension data.
Can you please contact support and provide more information about your activity in the last few hours (websites you visited, video downloaded, any settings you turned on)?
If you're using Windows 10/11, expand firefox process in the task manager to see if a subprocess like avd-host.exe or ffmpeg.exe are causing the issue.
Also, what's your browser and operating system versions, hardware you use? The more information you provide the better.
Copy your review message from here so we can identify your response.
Thanks again. - av Rushjunkie, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5You've broke it. You need to go back a version, not try to create a fix for a problem you can't reproduce yourselves. You literally will lose so many users who will be looking for alternative add ons.
This used to be a great product, now its dangerous, and should not be installed. - av Skinny Pete, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5This is the worst software update i've ever seen in my life, everything was working good until you decided to ruin it with this ridiculous, useless, dangerous update.
Like a lot of other people wrote in these last days, something is wrong with RAM usage, in my case it freeze my PC for minutes, not only the browser.
Don't trust you anymore, never using this again.Utviklerrespons
postet 6 måneder sidenCan't remember we ever made such a decision. Can't imagine how would have it looked like.
Like we wrote to other people in these last days, resetting the extension storage should help resolve the issue. - av Firefox-bruker 15427212, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5Currently (1/7/22), Ant takes up more than 5Gb of memory rendering Firefox unusable.
Utviklerrespons
postet 6 måneder sidenCurrently, we're unable to reproduce the issue, but we suspect it may be caused when updating from version 4.9 to 4.10, and then to 4.11-4.12.
The problem may be in the data left from version 4.9. Unlike Chromium-based browsers, Firefox does not delete extension storage when you uninstall it, even in debugging mode.
Try resetting Ant Video downloader, go to Settings - Reset, click the WIPE OUT AND RESET button. This will delete any data in the extension storage, and reload the extension.
Let us know in the support if this helps you solve the issue.
Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience. - av Firefox-bruker 14554338, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5be very careful with this, there's a huge memory leak, I was at 20,000mb yes 20gb in my firefox browser in the last week or so, 01-06-2022 and I thought something was wrong with my net connection, updating games or devices, nothing, and I turned off about 25 addons in firefox, it was the ant. it took over 5-6gb just in the main window with nothing in it waiting to browse with some text boxes of other interesting news ff plops on there for $. when the meory leak is fixed, I'll put this back to 5/5.

Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience. - av Gullideckel, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5It worked great until today. Now it eats all the RAM it can get and a lot of CPU immediately after browser startup. Currently, the addon makes using the browser impossible, so I had to disable it.

Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience. - av Dwan, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5This Addon used to be so great so this pains me to write this review.
The new update after V4.8 messed everything up on my PC. This update made my browser so slow and laggy that I thought I had malware on my computer. I even uninstalled and reinstalled my browser and performed a system restore which all turned out to be unnecessary because the culprit of my problems was right under my nose all along and I didn't even know it.
Once I disabled the Ant Downloader performance on my browser all returned to normal with no more lagging. I hate to say it but this is a BAD extension now and I don't intend to use it anymore unless their are same massive changes in the works to get this extension back on track.
Do better AVD!Utviklerrespons
postet 6 måneder sidenSorry you had to perform extra steps to restore normal browser activity. Next time try running Firefox in safe mode first (firefox.exe -safe-mode).
Our TO-DO list with new features that users send to support and want them in AVD does not fit the screen. There is such term as "growth pain": sometimes we're making big changes to AVD to extend it and make new features possible. Inevitably there will be issues at first; version 4.10-4.12 is the largest change since 2017. No matter how well we test each version before release, there can be pitfalls we're unaware of unless we release the version to the wide public.
Please, perform reset of the extension at Settings - Reset, and let us know if you still encountering the issues.
Thank you. - av Firefox-bruker 13425481, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5

Now it takes forever (up to 5-10 minutes for the videos to be detected) and there is no button to clear the cache. It still lists downloads on sites from several week ago which totally clutters the video list. I've had to remove the add-on and reload it to try to clear this annoying cache memory.

- av Joshua, 6 måneder sidenVurdert til 1 ut av 5What once was great with release 4.9, is now 100% junk with version 4.10. Instead of just listing vids, downloading/downloaded it now logs every vid that runs on any web or social media site. There are better, easier, to use, down-loaders for YouTube, Twitter, Facebook ect..., than Ant. Just wait until you try to delete or clear the Ant list. What fun that is. IMO, ANT is nothing more than another form of spy/tracking ware. I have dumped it and will not go back to it after reloading version 4.9. that now runs with the newer junk as well.

Worst update ever...
There is not just 1 problem, there are many.
The popup to start the download only appears as a small white line, downloads simply stall, the list of videos grows and grows and cannot be reduced in size.
It used to be great, but now it is a mess...
Please, in the next update, go back to a simplified and user-friendly version !Utviklerrespons

There is not just 1 problem, there are many.
The popup to start the download only appears as a small white line, downloads simply stall, the list of videos grows and grows and cannot be reduced in size. (Why can't I turn this off), deleting does not work, the browser now always needs 1 complete CPU (with me about 12% CPU load), the video lists for download do not update, the UI remains, although the download probably continues in the background goes, the new UI is terribly confusing. I have to click 20 times before I get the list of the latest downloads. (This is actually the only list I need, the others are superfluous) ...Utviklerrespons
