- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av phma, 4 dager sidenI use the non-automatic page translation tool — That's to say if I need to translate a web page, I click [mylanguage] in the TWP toolbar button and the page is translated.
Is there a way to reset the page translation when the URL changes?
Example: To read an article on example.com, I click to translate the page. Then, after reading, I navigate to a different page (still on example.com), and the new page is automatically translated. I’d like the new page not to be automatically translated — I want it to reset in its original language.
I know this is a non-standard request, but would it be possible to have this choice via a checkbox in the settings?

Thanks for the reply!
I already had that option set to “No.”
I just tried again and realized I had misunderstood the "issue".
Actually, the site doesn't revert to its original language when I use the Back button (when I go back one page). I guess that's normal.
In the end, I have to refresh the page after using the Back button. That works for me.
Thanks for the quick reply!Utviklerrespons
postet 3 dager sidenWhat you're asking for is the extension's default behavior. Depending on how the site is built, the behavior may be different.
Check if the option "Automatically translate when clicking on a link that takes you to the same domain as the current site" is disabled. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Virtpunk, 5 dager sidenYes, it stopped working for me too. I completely forgot that I changed the translation service to Bing a long time ago. Now I changed it to Google, and it is the only one that works. And Yandex and Bing both do not work. If possible, please fix it.

- Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av CorgiButt, 7 dager sidenNo longer working. I hope the dev fixes it because this is the best translate tool out there. Will change my rating if they do.
Every other translation extension opens new tabs or popups, this just directly translates onto the page, no need for refresh or anything.Utviklerrespons
postet 7 dager sidenTry restarting your browser. Which translation service are you using? - Vurdert til 1 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13140755, 8 dager sidenIt no longer works since the last Firefox update (153.0.4).
I have tested all the translation tools available (Bing, Google, Yandex).
My preferred translation tool is Google.
Translating selected text works. Translating the entire page does not work.
The tool’s window says ‘Page translated into German’, but the page is not translated.Utviklerrespons

- Vurdert til 4 ut av 5av Xav, 21 dager sidenGreat extension, would you make it available for Safari?
A nice improvement would be the possibility to switch easier the translation from one languge to another. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 20022895, 21 dager siden
- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av FieryOx, 23 dager sidenGod bless this TWP extension for saving me the trouble of having to go out of my way to right click and translate each text. It can automatically carry out the translation on any webpage for the most part without you needing to go through selecting a text.
- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av zzyzzx, 25 dager sidenLooked at a bunch of different translation extensions and this is the only one that is lightweight, unintrusive, not based on a third party LLM, and still powerful enough to dynamically inline translate webpages. Honestly better than Firefox's native implementation.
