Tracking Debugger Privacy Policy

Tracking Debugger is a browser-based auditing tool that records supported Google Tag, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Data Layer, Consent Mode and configured server-side tracking activity.

All recording and analysis happen locally inside the user’s Firefox browser. Tracking Debugger does not transmit recorded sessions, browsing activity, analytics data or personal information to the developer or any external service.

The extension may locally process website URLs, tracking request parameters, event names, measurement IDs, conversion identifiers, request statuses, Data Layer entries and Consent Mode information necessary to provide its debugging functionality.

Protected user-data values, such as email addresses and telephone numbers used for enhanced conversions, are not displayed or retained. The extension reports only whether supported protected-data signals were detected.

Recording begins only after the user selects “Start recording.” Session information remains in Firefox until it is cleared or replaced. Users may voluntarily export a JSON file; exported files remain entirely under the user’s control.

Tracking Debugger does not use telemetry, advertising, remote code, cloud processing or AI services. It does not sell, share or otherwise provide user data to third parties.

The requested browser permissions are used only to observe supported tracking requests, associate them with the correct page and frame, and store recording settings and session evidence locally.
