Tab Guard av klgg
Gentle friction against doomscrolling: endless feeds end after one page, tab bursts trip a breathing pause, watched sites turn grey, then blurry, as you linger. Your rules and lists, five languages. Runs fully local, nothing leaves your browser.

Om denne utvidelsen
Tab Guard adds friction where scrolling turns compulsive, and stays out of the way everywhere else.
What it does
- Feed to friction: after one page of an endless feed, new posts wait behind a button with a short countdown.
- Tab circuit breaker: four tabs of one site in 90 seconds trigger a breathing pause; seven in five minutes lock the site for 30 minutes. Once a lock ends, you land exactly where you were going.
- Escalation ladder: the longer you linger on watched sites, the greyer and blurrier images get, up to a block. The pressure eases off by itself.
- Breathing pause + intention: one breath, then one question: what are you here for?
- Short-form filter: hides or blurs vertical short videos and /shorts/ or /reels/ pages.
- Blocklist, content filter and redirects (e.g. reddit.com to an alternative front end, keeping the full path).
You set the rules
Trusted sites, academic search and streaming are never touched. Everything else is "watched". A pause button switches all friction off for a while; blocklist, content filter and redirects stay on. An optional settings lock asks you to type a shown code by hand before you weaken anything.
Private by design
No account, no server, no analytics. Settings, lists and counters stay in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Available in English, German, French, Spanish and Romanian.
