SnipText is a clean, minimal browser extension that lets you capture any part of your screen and instantly extract the text from it using OCR (Optical Character Recognition).

It works entirely locally in your browser. Just activate the extension, click and drag to select an area containing text (even text trapped inside images, videos, or protected PDFs), and SnipText will quickly process the image and provide the plain text for you to copy.
