Thankyou - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Llewen, 6 år sidenBeyond the fact that it does what one of my favorite all time addons, Cookie Monster, used to do, it seems to have fixed the issues I have been having with Facebook ever since Firefox Quantum was released. So I'm guessing it was a cookie issue...
- Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13782747, 6 år sidenI was hoping this would automatically work with the whitelist I set up in Firefox Options before my prior cookie button fell victim to Quantum, rather than having to rebuild a new whitelist. I would like to use Firefox Options to block all cookies, then use a simple add-on button to whitelist particular sites. (Going Firefox Options to add exception is a big huge pain when you are in the middle of something.)

postet 6 år sidenThere's no WebExtension API for accessing or managing the Firefox internal whitelist so what you are asking is impossible (at least at the moment).
However, I recommend you to use just Cookiebro. First allow all cookies in Firefox settings. Then in Cookiebro "Enable blacklist filtering" in Options, enter one line to blacklist: *.* and then whitelist the sites you want either by using the Cookiebro whitelist or when needed using the Cookiebro extension icon action. That will then completely block all cookies except the ones you whitelist.
You don't need the Firefox internal whitelist system at all and as you said, it's very cumbersome to use. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av monk-time, 6 år sidenFinally a replacement for a very old extension selectivecookiedelete that fits my needs: periodic manual cleaning of cookies with the ability to review cookies that have been saved in the browser since the last clean-up (so that I can see what should be whitelisted). I have tried Cookie AutoDelete, but it doesn't support this workflow (see issue #225 on their repo). Cookiebro solves this issue for me.
One feature that I'd like to see is a way to clear only non-whitelisted session cookies. It's a bit inconvenient that the trashbin button in the options deletes all of them, including session cookies from wl'ed domains; it goes against the idea of having a whitelist. - Disregard that, 1.1.0 is now perfect for this!
With a better title ("*bro" can put off some part of the audience) and a GitHub repo I can see this add-on going places. Thanks!Utviklerrespons
postet 6 år sidenThank you for the feedback! Cookiebro 1.1.0 now has two new buttons that allow you to either delete all session cookies or just the non-whitelisted session cookies. That was a good suggestion! - Vurdert til 4 ut av 5av Tylast, 6 år sidenGood replacement for my previous cookie addon. One thing it needs is for the icon to change so I know the status (white listed or not) of the current site I'm on.

Edit: this has been implemented. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Firefox-bruker 13193937, 6 år sidenWorks well and author responded quickly to a bug fix. I prefer this to the other cookie addon which would only delete when you closed a tab. This one works by deleting cookies within specified times and adds a few other privacy features.
