- Rated 5 out of 5by Sydney, pirms 6 gadiemI don't think I've ever reviewed an extension, but man, what a find. Thanks so much for making it. I get very sick of closing overlays and finding the little "x" in some corner of it or some light colored "close" link. They get sneakier and sneakier about making you actually read the overlay to find a way to close it. Now when I see one, I know right away I can click on the X in the toolbar and it will disappear. So satisfying.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Discovery, pirms 6 gadiemThis extension works well, but it would be better if overlays could be permanently blocked. I'm looking for a replacement of Poper Blocker, the only one that saved our settings and removed the chosen overlays permanently.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 11016758, pirms 6 gadiembecause of the new GDPR & f.. overlays as a result : perfect, _because_ of its non intrusive _simplicity_ based on the browser itself , thx - works fine. !
- Rated 4 out of 5by someguy, pirms 7 gadiemi know that you said you'll be making the button on the context menu, but that was 7 months ago, when will we be getting it?
other than this the add-on is perfect. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12380724, pirms 7 gadiem

Some sites like reddit with their nag banner to get you to join have this pop up every time you hit the front page have gotten beyond annoying and this solves the issue, but the default block and whitelist would take it to the next level.

Truly a must-have with so many sites using overlays to hide content. - Rated 5 out of 5by Rob, pirms 7 gadiemWorks well for me on some sites
Companies are always looking for ways to beat these extensions, which is not the fault of the developer
The cluttering of the url/location bar with the icon is the only drawback I can see
I understand you want easy access as it may be used often, but the fact you can organize everything so easily in Quantum means you can put it in your favorite extension icons spot
Thanks for all your efforts! - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13607278, pirms 7 gadiemRemoves the overlay, but then the pages underneath won't scroll so I can only read the first paragraph or so. Is there a fix for this?

- Rated 5 out of 5by Majik Fox, pirms 7 gadiemWorks just fine for me on Quantum. Media outlets are starting to figure out that extensions like this exist and they're making the floater canvas their main content container, so I imagine it'll stop working soon.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13550059, pirms 7 gadiemDoes not work with Quantum, will not add an icon to the toolbar. Wound up using the Pintrest overlay remover and it does the job on other sites as well.
- Rated 5 out of 5by gmon, pirms 7 gadiemit will work with Quantum as long as you reinstall and restart, otherwise it will not show up in the address bar and will not show up in Customize either
- Rated 5 out of 5by Wok, pirms 7 gadiemCould you make it so that we could remove the icon in the url bar? It is annoying because it is a cross, just next to the cross to stop the loading of pages. So it is easy to misclick. I only use the shortcut anyway, I don't want this icon.
Developer response
posted pirms 7 gadiemI have planned to implement the possibility of hiding/showing the icon shown in the address bar for the next version.
So, keep an eye out for it.
Best regards. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12766830, pirms 7 gadiemThe button in the url bar is always visible, even if there is no overlay to remove. Could you make it so that it hides when there is no overlay detected?
