Here’s how to use the YouTube Transcript Downloader extension:
1. Open any YouTube video that has a transcript.
2. Scroll down until you see “In this video” or “Transcript”.
3. Click the three-dot menu and select “Show transcript” if it’s not visible.
4. A red round icon will appear next to the title.
5. Click the icon to download the transcript as a .txt file.
6. The file will contain:
Line 1 - Video title
Line 2 - Video link
Line 3 onwards - Transcript with timestamps
7. The file name will follow this format: (YT Transcript) Video Title.txt
Special characters in the title will be removed automatically.

This extension collects publicly available transcripts from YouTube for personal use only. It does not download or access any video or audio content. Use of this tool must comply with YouTube’s Terms of Service. The developer is not responsible for any misuse of the downloaded content.
