Writer Margins puts your KDP sales and your Amazon Ads spend side by side, so you can see what each book really earns after ads, by day, book, format and country. No spreadsheets, and no copying numbers between Amazon dashboards.

This add-on is the KDP half. Amazon has no API for KDP sales, so the add-on fetches your royalty reports for you, from your own signed-in browser, and sends them to your Writer Margins account. Your Amazon password and login never leave your browser.

Amazon Ads will connect separately on writermargins.com, through Amazon's own sign-in, for every country you advertise in (coming soon). The add-on never touches your ads.

How it works
• Create a free account at writermargins.com.
• Connect KDP: add this add-on in Firefox, where you use KDP. If Firefox asks, allow it to access KDP Reports and Writer Margins (click the Writer Margins button in the toolbar). It imports your history, then checks for new sales about every 15 minutes while Firefox is open.
• Amazon Ads (coming soon): connect it on the website with Amazon's own sign-in.
• See your royalties for every book, and profit after ads once Amazon Ads is connected. Kindle Unlimited pages are estimated until Amazon finalises them.

What the add-on sends to Writer Margins, and nothing else
• Your KDP royalty reports, exactly as KDP produces them, and your Kindle Unlimited page-read figures.
• Your book list from KDP Reports (titles, author names, ASINs, ISBNs, formats and publication dates) and the date your KDP account started.
• The payments KDP has made you (amounts, dates and exchange rates, no bank details), once a day.
• Your Kindle Countdown Deals from KDP's Promotions report (book, dates, deal prices, copies and royalties), once a day, and the daily reports for past months that had a free promotion, read once each.
• KDP's own estimate of your Kindle Unlimited royalties per store for months it hasn't finalised, and your pre-orders from KDP's Pre-orders report.
• Only if you allow it in the extension: each eBook's series and KENPC from your KDP bookshelf, read once a week.
• A one-way code made from your KDP account number, so one KDP account can't be linked to two Writer Margins accounts.
• Whether syncing is working, and the add-on's version, so your dashboard can tell you if something needs attention.

What it never does
• It never reads or stores your Amazon password, cookies or session.
• It works only with KDP Reports, Writer Margins and, if you allow it, your KDP bookshelf. It can't see other sites or change your books.
• It never stores your reports in the browser: they go straight from KDP to your account.

Disconnect at any time from the add-on or from Writer Margins.
